Common Yarrow - Achillea millefolium
White - pink flat-topped, flowers grow on erect stalks 1-3’ tall, but majority of the plant hugs the ground. Unique, attractive leaves form a nice dense “green mulch” weed barrier ground cover.
Grows well in full sun - part shade.
Most suitable for medium - dry soil. Drought tolerant!
From wildflower.org: “Yarrow was formerly used for medicinal purposes: to break a fever by increasing perspiration, to treat hemorrhaging and as a poultice for rashes. A tea used by Native Americans to cure stomach disorders was made by steeping the leaves.”
